    Welcome!

    The Obersalzberg Documentation Center is a place to learn about and remember the history of Obersalzberg and the Nazi dictatorship. As well as our permanent exhibition we offer an extensive educational program. The Obersalzberg Documentation Center is curated by historians at the Institute for Contemporary History Munich-Berlin.

    Please note

    Due to the anniversary celebration on Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Obersalzberg Documentation Center will close at 4 pm on this day. Last entrance is at 3 pm.

    Education

    We offer a varied educational program for young people and adults to accompany our permanent exhibition. Here you can find out about opportunities to explore our topic in more depth, whether it’s a tour or a workshop you’re interested in.

    Collection

    The collection forms the basis for our exhibitions and our research on Obersalzberg. The main focus of the collection is on the Nazi era, but it also includes objects relating to pre-and post-Nazi history, right up to the present day.
