Guide dogs/assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at the Obersalzberg Documentation Center.

Seating

Seating is available in the exhibition. Portable chairs can be borrowed from the ticket desk.

Wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility

Parking

There are parking spaces for people with restricted mobility in the P2 car park. From the car park there is direct step-free access to the Obersalzberg Documentation Center. This is also suitable for wheelchairs.

Inside

All inside areas are accessible for wheelchair users. All floors can be reached by elevator. In the historic bunker there is a 19-meter-long ramp with an incline of 9% without a half landing.

Minimum widths of the passages through the bunker

Main route: 87 cm
To the side rooms: 84 cm
To the auditorium: 79 cm

Please note

The passages through the bunker are not suitable for wide electric wheelchairs!

Persons who are blind or visually impaired

How to get here

If you are traveling from Berchtesgaden station, please call the central Berchtesgaden taxi service on +49 (0) 8652 / 4041. A free taxi service is available for persons who are visually impaired.

Outside areas

A guide system is installed in the grounds of the Obersalzberg Documentation Center. Unfortunately, this does not extend to public transport and the surrounding car parks, for which the Obersalzberg Documentation Center has only shared use.

Buildings

In all inside areas including the bunker there are tactile wayfinding models and a tactile guiding system. Please note that all explanations and information about our tactile guiding system are in German

Exhibition

If you are visually impaired you can visit our exhibition via a number of tactile points. Please note that all explanations and information about our tactile guiding system are in German. This also applies to the audio-descriptive tour in our media guide.
