The European Museum Academy has honored Obersalzberg Documentation Center for its permanent exhibition “Idyll and Atrocity” with the renowned Luigi Micheletti Award 2025!
The Micheletti Award is one of Europe’s most prestigious museum awards and is presented annually to particularly innovative museums in the fields of contemporary history, industry, and science. The coveted award was presented for the 29th time and honors outstanding permanent exhibitions that translate content into a museum narrative in a unique way.
A jury of international experts evaluates the content implementation and integration of the exhibits, the scenography and design, the use of media, and the visitor experience. The Obersalzberg Documentation Center impressed the jury particularly with the way it guides the audience narratively through the exhibition.
